Here are a few clues to the week of activities:

  • Create this age-old item to help express your heartfelt opinions.
  • Feel the thrill as you bring this circuit to life.
  • You may feel in the dark, but these formations will help you see the light.
  • This glow lamp project is absolutely effervescent.
  • While you’re picturing the heights, you will be dropping ink to create this masterpiece.
  • Your blinded eyes will fully understand Tennessee’s particularly helpful contribution.
  • This activity is an absolute page-turner.

The clues may be mysterious, but the fun is illuminating! Here are the details for this week-long celebration:

There are three activities daily:

  • Learning Lab from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Story time at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Learning Labs include:

  • Wednesday: We’re lighting up the lab as we use Mountain Dew in a glowing science experiment sure to dazzle your senses.
  • Thursday: We’re creating campaign buttons to support your topic close to your heart, such as “Be Kind.”
  • Friday: We’re capturing the breathtaking scenery of the Smoky Mountains using liquid paper and imagination.
  • Saturday: The adventure begins with a morning spelunking coding experiment as we explore virtual caves, followed by an afternoon of mural-making where grids help us transform our art into masterpieces of any size.
  • Sunday: Celebrate the inspiring partnership between Morris Frank and his dog, Buddy, in our adaptive technology session, highlighting the remarkable skills and impact of guide dogs.
