Our Mission

The Children’s Museum of Memphis inspires children to explore, imagine, and create – growing minds and filling them with endless possibilities.

Incorporated in 1987, the museum is a private, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization fostering child development through interactive exhibits and programs designed to support enriched early learning in the domains identified by the United States Department of Education as key to school readiness and success:

  • Fine arts
  • Language and literacy
  • Cognition, general knowledge, math, and science
  • Approaches to learning
