Meet the Artist Series
Meet the Artist series gives children an opportunity to interact with local artists in developing a deeper love of the arts. Not only will children be inspired and encouraged, they will have the opportunity to learn new techniques with different art projects in the Art and Innovation Lab all under the watchful eye of our local talent.
CMOM is excited to announce that our next local artist, Kendrick Moore, will lead children in creating a mixed-media piece exploring the concept of the artistic voice. The children will use shapes and color to symbolize and express feelings, thoughts or ideas, encouraging self-reflection and developing technical skills in the use of varied supplies.
“I create medium to large-scale art that invokes healthy reflection, encourages, and empowers individuals. I am trained as an architect by profession but discovered that my passion is creativity even beyond the design of buildings. My goal is to create pieces that will have a lasting impact on the lives they cross.” – Kendrick Moore
Scheduled sessions are:
- Friday, November 8 at 4 pm
- Saturday, November 9 at 11 am
- Wednesday, December 18 at 2:30 pm
