At Home Learning
The Children’s Museum of Memphis exists to encourage children to fall in love with learning, not only through curated exhibits but also through educational programs. We want to offer you at-home experiments so you can experience the same “ah-ha” moments we have with your child.
“Children build brain architecture by repetition. After you’ve completed an experiment, give your child an opportunity to present it to other members of your family, which will further anchor what your child has learned, but also be the bridge to the next lesson,” says Dr. Stewart Burgess, developmental psychologist and CEO of CMOM.
Choose your at-home activity:
How much do you know about snowflakes?
Tasty pupusas you can make with your child.
Bring the scent of autumn into your home.
With a few at-hand ingredients, you can make ice cream at home.
