Paying honor through hands-on activities

From Dr. Martin Luther King Jr to Memphians

Black History Month

As we celebrate Black History Month, CMOM has multiple creative outlets to help you explore not only the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr but also the contributions of Memphians that have influenced our city and our lives.

From seeing the royalty in themselves to blanketing a collaborative peace and freedom quilt, check out the daily themed activities in the Art and Innovation Lab.

Our sensory play activities focus on the contributions of Memphians, from a florist to a pharmacist. Children will use all their senses as they navigate through these ever-changing activities.

Story Time sessions during Black History Month will celebrate the triumphs and accomplishments of Black authors, artists and innovators. These books are empowering as well as entertaining.
