ATC Task: Roles

Since each of the five controllers has a different job, spend time going through tasks using a different controller role. Do you remember the roles?

• Ground: instruct planes taxiing to runways
• Tower: instruct planes getting in the air
• Departure: monitor planes in the air until they are out of the terminal area
• Center: monitor planes at high altitudes until they reach their next airport
• Approach: instruct planes entering the terminal area
