Do you have a great imagination and like to play?
Have you ever been or wanted to be a dentist, bank teller, pilot, mechanic or firefighter?
Are you energetic and do you love children?
Do you have just a little time to make a big difference in a child's life?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you should be a volunteer for The Children's Museum! We are looking for people that are 16 years old and up to fill a variety of volunteer positions.
Gallery Assistant - assist with the direct interaction of visitors in exhibit areas throughout the museum.
Special Events - assist with a variety of special programs and events throughout the year.
Birthday Party Assistant - assist party host/hostess during fun-filled birthday parties.
Office Helper - assist with a variety of light office duties.
Program Assistant - assist the programming department with programs and workshops
Clean Up Crew - help sweep, dust and arrange.
Other positions available as needed!
NOTE: All volunteers must pass a routine background check before working at the museum with children.
Volunteer Application Process
Step 1: Complete a volunteer application and return it to the volunteer services manager. Applications may be obtained from this website, the admissions desk or by mail. You must be at least 16 years old to be a CMOM volunteer.
Step 2: Our office will conduct a background check.
Step 3: Once a background check has been completed satisfactorily, the volunteer services manager will conduct an interview with you.
Step 4: Training will be scheduled, and your volunteer job duties will be assigned.
Step 5: Now you are ready to use your expertise to serve the many families who visit CMOM every day!
