Programs

CMOM is devoted to providing quality programming for our young explorers. The following special programs happen at different times throughout the week. See when they are scheduled.

Doodlebug Studio

Visit the in-house art studio. This program operates seven days a week and provides participants with a take-home craft project to complete while in the studio. Art promotes creativity, confidence, problem-solving skills, patience, determination, accountability, and focus.

Story Time in the Book Nook

Listen to a story and participate in the accompanying activity or discussion. There are many other benefits to this wonderful activity.

  • Increase a child’s attention span
  • Enhance visual discrimination skills
  • Practice auditory processing
  • Examine social situations and behaviors
  • Instill a love of books

Science Saturday

This program is designed to allow guests to engage in simple, scientific explorations. When children are engaged in learning about science and nature, they are also learning strategies for active exploration, thinking, and reasoning and develop working theories for making sense of the natural, social, physical and material worlds.

The Countdown

This is our way of celebrating and reinforcing that our young guests are learning a huge skill… COUNTING! We come together briefly each Friday to practice a counting concept and then celebrate our success. Counting is an essential building block of mathematics.

Zumba® Kids

These classes are high-energy dance parties packed with kid-friendly routines. We break down steps, add games, and activities into the class structure. This session is led by a certified Zumba instructor.

Creative Movement

Movement classes allow all guests to come together to stay active. Participants take the stage and move to the music led by a dance instructor. Dance improves flexibility, coordination, balance, range of motion, stamina, muscle tone, strength, and posture.

Toddler Sensory Play

Designed especially for our 4 and under crowd, this time can include any activity that stimulates a young child’s senses: touch, smell, taste, movement, balance, sight and hearing. Sensory activities facilitate exploration and naturally encourage children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore.
