An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until December 23, 2020
From the moment you walk into the doors, you will feel transported to a Winter Wonderland as you stroll through trees, twinkling lights, dancing snowflakes, and all the seasonal trappings at CMOM. An air of excitement will surround the flurry of lively pop-up activities and everyday fun. Of course, expect the unexpected with magical visits from favorite seasonal characters and local performers. Don’t forget to wear your wintery favorites and take advantage of the photo opportunities scattered throughout the museum.
Due to the recent COVID surge, this event will now run through December 23. Please note that CMOM will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and every Monday. Winter Wonderland is included in the price of admission/and free to members. If you’d like to join CMOM, click here.

SPECIAL APPEARANCES AND PERFORMANCES–Select times
What would a Winter Wonderland be without having your picture made with Santa? All safety precautions are in place to have a socially-distanced opportunity to have your picture taken with your favorite Christmas personality. So, don your favorite ugly (or not-so-ugly) sweater and document the year that will never be forgotten in your family’s history. Saturdays from 10 a – 2p.
FOOD TRUCKS–Saturdays
There’s so much happening at CMOM during the month of December: Winter Wonderland, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secrets of the Sewer, and fun museum exhibits. To give you the time you need to do everything on your CMOM bucket list, food trucks will be on campus each Saturday: Dec. 5: El Mero Taco (11a-2p) / Dec. 12: Let’s Be Frank (10a-2p) and 9Dough1 (10a-2p) / Dec. 19: VooDoo Cafe (10a-2p) and El Mero Taco (11a-2p)
STORY TIME THEATER–Saturdays
Think stories coming to life before your eyes. Children will feel a part of the plot as they participate in the character’s shenanigans. Saturdays at 11a and 2p.
WINTER WONDERLAND PROJECTS–Wednesdays
Set aside extra time to complete a project because you will not be disappointed. Children will complete fun holiday items including marbled ornaments, blizzards in a jar and more. Wednesdays at 10a-12p and 2-4p.
HOLIDAY GAMES–Fridays
Don’t miss the holiday games every Friday (December 4, 11, and 18) at 10a, 12p, and 2p. Each game is different and engaging from the Snowman Slam game to the Poke-A-Tree game … and many more.
CANDY CANE HUNT–Thursdays
CMOM will look like a candy land with scattered candy canes throughout the museum. Take part in the museum-wide candy cane hunt each Thursday from 9a-5p. When you find one, you can swap it at the castle for a real candy cane to take home.
CRAFTS–Daily
Doodlebug Studio will feature daily fun holiday-themed crafts including candy cane ornaments, Christmas picture frames, Gingerbread friends… to name a few. Download the crafts and projects calendar here.
STORY TIMES–Sundays
With all the sights and sounds of the holidays around you, it only makes sense to lose yourself in a good story. The story hour will feature multiple holiday favorites such as “How Do Dinosaurs Say Merry Christmas?” (Something we’ve all wondered, I’m sure. )
