Grandparents fill a unique role in the family and have a wealth of experience and knowledge to share. Grandparents are celebrated at CMOM during the month of September. A grandparent will receive free admission on all Mondays in September - September 6, 13, 20 & 27 - if accompanied with a paying guest (no other discounts may be applied to this offer). Special activities for the grandparents and their grandchildren include: a special Grandparent VIP Pin to wear during their visit; Grandparent Art: Making Memories each Monday at 10am; and Grandparent Storytime each Monday at 12 noon. Part of the museum's mission is to encourage intergenerational learning. The museum is proud to be presenting activities which are both fun and educational to allow memorable experiences for grandparents and their grandchildren.
The museum is also unveiling a brand-new membership category beginning September 1 - a special Grandparent Membership! Grandparents will now be able to purchase a special membership for $90 that caters to their needs. The Grandparents Membership has all the regular benefits of CMOM Membership with these added features: allows up to four people admission during each visit, exclusive invitations to grandparent only events and $10 off the purchase of gift certificates/memberships.

To raise much needed funding for the museum's many educational programs and hands-on exhibits, you can now buy a brick in the Playscape Park exhibit! For only $100 per brick, you can have one person's name added to the wall. The new "brick wall" is part of the exhibit's renovation - thanks to the Jr. League of Memphis. To purchase a brick or for more details, please call 901-458-2678, ext. 221.
Here's an innovative way to give the museum a donation each month - without spending anymore money! If you already have a monitored alarm, just switch to Community Security's state-of-the-art alarm monitoring service, and CMOM receives a portion of your monthly monitoring fee (around $7 a month). If you don't have a home alarm, now's the time to get one and help the museum at the same time! Prices start at $30 a month. Call them today at 800-464-2132 or visit Community Security.
Past and current supporters know that the museum is a private, nonprofit organization that receives absolutely no taxpayer funding. Earned income (admissions, memberships, birthday parties, etc.) only covers 70% of the museum’s annual operating budget - the other 30% of the budget comes from donations and contributions. Needless to say, the museum is always in need of contributions to help fund our educational exhibits and programs. If you are considering a gift to charity, please think of your child’s favorite place! Your gift will go toward providing the fun activities that engage children in the museum. Charge your tax-deductible gift now or call 901-458-2678. You can also make a donation to the Annual Fund on our website. Thanks for your gift!
